Phospholipase Family
Phospholipase family : 

PLA2 is very important for essential fatty acid degradation from R2 arm of glycerophospholipid. 

PLC is important in signal transduction.
PLCs are usually involved in phospholipid signal transduction. Like PI cascade. PIP2 is hydrolysed by PLC and converts to DAG(1,2-Diacylglycerol) and IP3. Since DAG is a second messenger, DAG can activate PKC. On the other hand, IP3 makes Ca2+ releasing from CaM. And Ca2+ also as a second messenger.
