The unique properties of cytokines and their ability to improve immunity to various environment factors make stated developments especially interesting. Production of highly purified preparations on their base permits to develop drugs of a new generation affecting a causative agent directly or indirectly through stimulation of different immune cells.
This makes them promising as remedies to treat tumor and immunomodulating diseases of man and to effectively prevent and treat infectious diseases of animals and birds.
There have been obtained positive results of testing when available antitumor chemical preparations and cytokines were injected simultaneously. There has been achieved high antitumor activity of hybrid cytokines for certain leucosis forms (cytostatic and cytotoxic effect within several lines of tumor cells).
Injection of cytokines in combination with vaccines againt Hepatitis A, tick-borne encephalitis and other vaccines used for veterinary purposes has also proved to be effective, as it resulted in stimulation of the immunity.
