NCSA BIOLOGY WORKBENCH


Welcome to the home of the Biology Workbench, a point and click web interface that provides access to databases and analysis tools for biological investigations. The workbench is located at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

When submitting bug reports try to include information about your browser type and version, your computer type, operating system and version, the amount of memory that your machine has, time and date that the problem occurred, and information about the tool you were using. Thanks.

The Biology Workbench was developed by the Computational Biology Group at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. The development was directed by Shankar Subramaniam and the personnel involved were Mark Stupar, Roger Unwin, James Fenton, Curt Jamison, Brad Mills and Eric Jakobsson.

The Biology Workbench may be used freely for non-commercial research via this Web interface. For any work done using the Biology Workbench, the Workbench should be credited in publication(s) as follows, "Parts of this work were done using the NCSA Biology Workbench at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, Urbana, Illinois, supported by the National Science Foundation." A condensed version, crediting NCSA, may be used when the publication consists only of a brief abstract.
