Clostridium perfringens is a spore-forming,
             heat-resistant bacteria that can cause foodborne illness.
             Spores germinate and vegetative cells multiply in tissues
             with low O2 tension.

            Implanted in dirty wounds;
             produces toxins/enzymes, causes gas gangrene.
             Also causes food poisoning after growth in food.
