  1. Use of linkage analysis, association analysis and methodological approaches to study human complex diseases.
  2. Use of Monte Carlo methods to study various theoretical issues in genetic linkage analysis.
  3. General biostatistical consultations (Survival Analysis, Longitudinal Analysis, Power and Sample size calculations, etc.)

研究興趣 :

本實驗室之研究方向為發展、加強及應用統計方法於人類遺傳學的領域。生物統計的應用非常廣泛,無論是在流行病學、環境衛生,甚至在生物科技、臨床試藥研究都可見到它的蹤跡,而生物統計的重要性也是有目共睹。本實驗室的主要目標在發展應用遺傳統計方法來找尋人類常見疾病的致病因。研究主題有下列幾項:

  1. 應用聯結分析(Linkage analysis)及相關分析(association analysis)找尋年輕型高血壓、酒癮、毒品及憂鬱症的致病基因。
  2. 發展統計方法處理家族資料常見的族群不均衡所造成的偏差。
  3. 發展處理生物晶片資料的統計方法。
